I’m driven by the goal of climbing the Seven Summits to raise awareness about mental health. As I make my way up these famous peaks, I want to highlight how important it is to talk about mental health, foster understanding, and show that we can achieve our dreams despite our past and fears.
"We had the pleasure of welcoming Jean-François Dupras as part of his conference on his project Overcoming Mental Illness One Summit at a Time. Two conferences were offered, one in French and one in English for our community, and its multimedia tools on the progress of its project and its interactions with the public provide a friendly atmosphere throughout the presentation. We look forward to receiving him again at the end of his project."
"Jean-Francois is a skilled speaker, with a gift for inspiring a group. He is dedicated to providing the best sessions possible for his participants, and is able to connect quickly with a large group. Jean-Francois spoke at CMHA Calgary’s 4th Annual YouthSMART Summit as an “Inspirational Peer” to an audience of 250 students and teachers. His incredible message of resiliency, hope, and perseverance was very well-received at our event, and many in attendance noted that they found his powerful speech to be motivational. Jean-Francois is a kind individual, committed to changing the conversation about mental health and wellness. By adding his voice, and sharing his passion for climbing, he is contributing to a more mentally healthy, positive society. YouthSMART continues to promote his talk to school and community groups in the Calgary area."
"Jean-François Dupras offers a presentation that combines humour and serious personal experiences. He transports the audience with him through his most difficult and joyful moments. A beautiful testimony to the benefits of physical activity on the body and mind."
"In March 2019, the ACFA had the honour of having Jean-François Dupras as its ambassador for Alberta's Francophone Month. It was a real pleasure to work with him. His professionalism, interpersonal skills and energy were evident throughout the various programming activities."
